The Summer I Turned Pretty's forthcoming movie has just received a major update, but there's some bad news for fans.

Adapted from Jenny Han's beloved books, the Prime Video teen drama aired its third and final season this summer. But it wasn't long before series creator Han, who is set to write and direct the new film, announced that the story isn't over yet.

"There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due. I’m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans," the author shared
