AUSTIN, Tex. (KGNS) - The death of a Texas A&M student from Laredo has been ruled a suicide by Austin Police.

On Thursday morning, December 4, Austin police held a press conference sharing details of the events surrounding the death of 19-year-old Brianna Aguilera , who was found dead after attending a tailgate in late November .

During the presser, lead investigator Robert Marshall said police maintain their initial determination that Aguilera took her own life, a conclusion her family continues to dispute .

Marshall said witnesses told investigators Aguilera arrived at the tailgate in Austin between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, November 28. Witnesses described her as “highly intoxicated” and said she was dropping personal items along a wooded area.
