The Edmonton Oilers aren’t doing too hot at the moment, but they’re getting some good news down in the AHL.
It may not seem like the Bakersfield Condors are having a great season, sitting at a 9-6-4 record through 19 games. Yet, they are getting some outstanding individual efforts from their top players.
Ike Howard has been electric with two goals and seven points in six games, offseason additions Josh Samanski and Viljami Marjala are heating up, and the oft-injured Roby Jarventie has found a way to stay healthy and produce.
None of those players, however, is playing as well as Quinn Hutson is right now. The 23-year-old is tied for fifth in AHL scoring with 12 goals and 21 points in 19 games, and is just one point behind Nick Lardis for the rookie scoring lead.
