CTA State/Lake elevated station to close for 3 years starting in January for reconstruction

The State/Lake elevated station in Chicago will be demolished and reconstructed into a new, fully accessible rail hub with wider platforms, new elevators, a glass canopy, and improved lighting and visibility, with the new station scheduled to open in 2029.
