A Pasadena man hurled racial slurs and cries of “Get out here” at a neighbor’s home on an early October morning before breaking through a window and front door with a wooden pole, charging documents allege.

Ryan Houser, 34, faces hate crime, attempted burglary and malicious destruction of property charges in Anne Arundel Circuit Court in the Oct. 8 incident. He does not have a lawyer listed in court records.

Taken altogether, he faces up to six and a half years in prison if convicted on all counts.

Charging documents say the home’s owner contacted police just after 3:30 a.m. for reports of a man ringing the doorbell and yelling racial slurs before attempting to break into the residence.
