CLEVELAND, Oh - On a recent vacation, my partner got sick on the first day. We were on a five-day cruise. We had some excursions planned at the different ports where we were stopping. They just wanted to stay in the room and no longer wanted to do anything.

I was on vacation, and while I sympathized that they were sick, I didn’t want to forgo everything that we had planned and paid for to sit in the room with them. They were upset that I still wanted to do things and enjoy my vacation.
