A central Ohio man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to driving to Cincinnati to meet someone he believed was a 15-year-old girl and engage in sexual conduct.
According to the Department of Justice, 35-year-old Kyle Tennyson drove from Dublin to a hotel in Cincinnati within hours of first chatting online with the purported minor. Officials said Tennyson had been unknowingly corresponding with an undercover agent via a social media app. Advertisement
Court documents say after being told he was speaking to a minor, he responded, “It’s just extremely risky for a guy to do anything with you, sadly. :/ I hate the law.”
Federal prosecutors said Tennyson also sent several requests for specific images, saying he needed to verify the 15-year-old
