A NEW MINIMUM WAGE

Ohio's minimum wage is about to rise again, with the rate increasing for nontipped employees by 30 cents an hour, from $10.70 to $11.

Workers who receive tips will get a wage increase from $5.35 to $5.50.

Those increases are slated to begin on Jan. 1, 2026.

The minimum wage will apply to employees of businesses with annual gross receipts of more than $405,000 per year, an increase from the current $394,000 threshold.

The current federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour.
