The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is recalling around 236,500 cases of Great Lakes Cheese Co. made shredded cheese, including Aldi, Publix and Target brands. That's at least one million bags of cheese, estimating that each case has four bags.
Great Lakes Cheese Co. is recalling a variety of products sold in 31 states and Puerto Rico due to possible metal fragments in the product, according to the FDA notice.
The Ohio-based cheese company initiated the voluntary sweeping recall Oct. 3.
