An Owen Sound radio station will be broadcasting from a local grocery store Friday to help stock the shelves of the Salvation Army food bank.

The third annual 89.3 CFOS FM Community Food Drive will broadcast live from Zehrs along 16th Street East in Owen Sound, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Members of CFOS’s sister stations, Mix 106.5 and Country 93, will be at No Frills, Foodland, Metro, Fresh Co., and Food Basics too. Salvation Army volunteers will also be helping at the stores while the broadcast raises funds and awareness for the food bank.

“Wherever you do your shopping, we hope you’ll choose to support us with a donation of non-perishable food items, or a monetary donation of any amount, at any of those locations,” a radio station news release said.
