THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI is again unhappy as the involvement of MP John Brittas in the PM SHRI scheme has come out. This will be announced in the LDF meeting to be held after the elections.

Brittas has spoken in the Rajya Sabha against the Centre's education policy and its attempts to impose it on the states. The CPI is raising the question of whose instructions the CPM MP acted as an intermediary to implement the same policy.

When the state government signed the project, the CPM Central Committee and Polit Bureau opposed it. Brittas is an invitee in the same Central Committee. The CPI had earlier taken a strong stand against the government signing the PM SHRI without discussing it in the front and the cabinet.
