LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A new duo is joining Jefferson County Public Schools' police force.
Meet Daisy and her handler, Darren.
They will be visiting schools to bring smiles to students and staff, according to a district spokesperson.
Daisy will also help if students or staff need support after a traumatic event or situation in the Louisville community.
Her arrival is thanks to a partnership with Dogs Helping Heroes. The organization said in a social media post they are excited about this new collaboration.
JCPS' canine team also consists of a bomb dog, a gun dog and a drug dog.
