( KNUE-FM ) When you're in Texas , expect to see lots of cowboy hats. You see them at the grocery store, local football games, all over the place. But there are certain rules that just about everyone follows when it comes to wearing a cowboy hat in Texas.

Why Cowboy Hat Etiquette Matters

There are some very hard-working Texans who have a lot of pride and respect. Some of that pride shows in how Texans wear their cowboy hats. I want to make sure you know about the Cowboy Hat Commandments because if you don’t follow them, you might just be reminded of them by someone else.

That part can be embarrassing, which is why I want to make sure you know about these as a sign of respect.
