According to Google Year in Search , Taylor Swift's "Wood," off her 12th studio album, was among the most searched songs in 2025 in southeast Michigan.

Google released its review of the top trending searches of 2025 , analyzing and compiling data taken from Jan. 1 through Nov. 25. The data for southeast Michigan — for the Detroit metro area — included five categories cataloged by Google.

The tech company's report says it captures the "moments, people, topics, events and places that captured the world’s attention this year."

The report lets users see trending topics across the globe, including those in Detroit.
