LAMAR COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - An assistant band director at Oak Grove High School has been arrested for molestation, according to the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office.
Daniel Evan Johnson was arrested on December 4 after an investigation by LCSO. He was booked into the Lamar County Jail and charged with molestation - touching a child for lustful purposes. His bond was set at $50,000.
According to investigators, Johnson has already bonded out.
Lamar County Schools confirmed that Johnson is no longer employed with the district. He was terminated on November 12.
