A central Massachusetts high school was mistakenly denied grant money for a state program that underwrites a financial literacy program and was not punished because of local resistance to a statewide housing law, the Healey administration said Thursday.
Both Wachusett Regional High School and South Shore Vocational Technical School “were mistakenly informed that they were not eligible for Credit for Life grant awards,” the state’s Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation said in a statement to MassLive.
That error has “been corrected, and the schools are now eligible. We apologize for any inconvenience,” a spokesperson for the agency said.
