The Health Secretary has ordered an independent review into the rising demand for mental health, ADHD and autism services in England.

It will look at diagnosis rates and the support offered.

Earlier this year, Wes Streeting said there had been an “overdiagnosis” of mental health conditions with “too many people being written off”. But today he rowed back on those comments, saying they were divisive and better evidence is needed.
