FISHERS, Ind. — 31-year-old Maclean Murt has been charged with murder and armed robbery for allegedly shooting and killing 30-year-old Justin Burton of Noblesville.
The charges were filed against Murt on Thursday, Dec. 4, three days after the deadly shooting at Britton Tavern, near State Road 37 and East 141st Street.
According to court documents, police were called around 2:45 a.m. on the morning of Dec. 1. When they arrived, a witness told them someone had been shot in the face near the bathrooms.
Police found Burton, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Murt was also at the scene. According to police, Murt told officers "I'm sorry about this."
Murt claimed Burton stole a vape from Murt's brother. Murt said when confront, Burton pushed him which was when Murt shot him.
