OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha firefighters are investigating two house fires that they say were caused by electrical events.

Crews first responded to near 90th and Fort streets just before noon Wednesday.

Two people inside the home were able to escape, but were unable to stay in the home.

The Red Cross is helping them now.

Then crews responded to a fire inside a duplex around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, near 48th Street and Ames Avenue.

Three people were home at the time.

No one was hurt, but damages forced the family out of the home. The Red Cross is also helping them.
