In a growing sign of frustration, nearly 20 retired employees staged a sit-in protest in front of the Kuchinda NAC office in Sambalpur district, demanding immediate release of their long-pending pensions. The demonstrators, who had served in various capacities, alleged that although they worked for years and were paid regular salaries, they have been unfairly deprived of pension benefits after retirement.

The retired staff stated that despite submitting all necessary documents and making multiple appeals, their pension claims remain unresolved. Many of them expressed distress over the financial hardships they face due to the prolonged delay.
