YPSILANTI, MI — Eastern Michigan University will reveal its new president-elect next week.
The EMU Board of Regents will hold a special meeting to announce President James Smith’s successor at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, according to a Dec. 4 announcement .
“This marks the culmination of a thoughtful, thorough, and inclusive search process — one that has engaged voices from across our campus and community," Nathan Ford, chair of the EMU Board of Regents and member of the presidential search advisory committee, said in the announcement. “We are deeply excited to reach this milestone and to soon welcome a new leader who will guide EMU into its next chapter of excellence, innovation, and student-centered success.”
Ford thanked the other regents for their commitment in the president
