HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Knox Doss Middle School will be honoring one of its students during Thursday’s basketball games.

Bentlee Whitley, 13, was killed following an ATV accident during Thanksgiving break in Missouri.

To honor Whitley’s memory, Knox Doss Middle School will be pausing for a moment of silence between the girls’ and boys’ games.

The dance team will also be doing a special presentation at halftime of the boys’ game. Whitley is a former member of the team, according to the school.

Additionally, the game will be a “Blue Out” in honor of Whitley because blue was her favorite color.
