President Donald Trump has ordered flags across the United States to be flown at half-staff on Dec. 4 to honor Sarah Beckstrom.

Beckstrom, 20, was an Army Specialist for the West Virginia Army National Guard who was shot Nov. 26 near the White House in what officials described as a "targeted" ambush. Beckstrom died from her injuries on Thanksgiving.

The White House issued a proclamation on Dec. 4 that stated all flags at public buildings and grounds, military posts and naval stations, and naval vessels across the United States will be flown at half-staff “as a mark of respect for the memory” of Beckstrom until sunset.

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, 24, was also shot in the Nov. 26 attack, but has shown improvements since.
