KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen Independent School District high school theater students earned significant state and national recognition during the Texas Thespian State Festival over Thanksgiving break.

Students collectively received 268 college callbacks, 21 National Qualifier honors, more than $1 million in scholarship offers, one Disney callback, two All-State Company distinctions, and one state thespian office appointment.

The festival, hosted by the Texas Chapter of the International Thespian Society, the world’s largest chapter of the international honor society for theater students, brings together more than 10,000 delegates annually.

Participants engage in workshops, performances, competitive events, and networking opportunities with collegiate and professional theater programs.
