It's about to get even colder in the South, thanks to polar vortex activity heading to parts of the United States. And it is just the first of three systems.

The first of the three polar vortex systems is expected to bring an Arctic chill, even as far south as the Carolinas, for multiple weeks in a row, according to AccuWeather .
