BELOIT, Wis. — A nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for a Wisconsin man accused of major crimes.

The City of Beloit Police Department said that a nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for 42-year-old Clifton Jones of Madison, who was involved in a shooting in Beloit in October.

The shooting happened on Oct. 2, in the 1500 block of White Avenue. A 41-year-old Beloit man was injured, and a 51-year-old Beloit man was killed.

On Nov. 19, Jones was charged with second-degree reckless injury with use of a dangerous weapon and with felon in possession of a firearm in Rock County Circuit Court. He was not in custody, according to police.

Beloit Police said they will work with local, state, and federal law enforcement to bring Jones into custody.
