OCEANA COUNTY, Mich. —

Seven months after his death, Maverick Bouck’s father hopes the people charged with child abuse in connection to his death face justice.

“You know, that's all I'm looking for. That's all I'm praying for. You know, that’s all I want out of this is I want him to have a voice,” Nathan Bouck said.

Maverick’s mother is being charged with three counts of child abuse after her son died back in May.

Maverick Bouck was only seven months old on May 4, 2025, when he died by drowning, according to his father.

Dispatch audio reveals first responders were called to the 9000 block of 192 Avenue in Greenwood, Oceana Co., for reports of a baby in a bath who possibly got water in the lungs. Maverick was pronounced dead at the scene.
