WORCESTER, Mass. —
The man accused of fatally shooting a Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, father was indicted Wednesday on murder and several other charges, Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said.
Snehal Srivastava, 26, of Shrewsbury, was indicted on one count of murder as well as one count of intimidation of a witness, one count of possession of a firearm not at home/work, and one count of vandalism.
On Aug. 28, Srivastava was involved in a confrontation with the victim, Kevin Doherty, 56, near Jordan Pond in Shrewsbury.
Police said they received a 911 call just before 9 a.m. from Doherty, who said he was being attacked. Dispatchers heard multiple gunshots and heard Doherty say, "He shot me," according to a police report.
