The Texas A&M student found dead after the school’s football game against the University of Texas died by suicide, local authorities say.
Brianna Aguilera, 19, was found outside a campus apartment complex around 1 a.m. Saturday in the hours following A&M’s 27-17 defeat Friday night against rival Texas.
Det. Robert Marshall, of the Austin Police Department, said Aguilera was found with trauma from an apparent fall from a high floor.
Camera footage showed the teen arriving at the apartment building around 11 p.m. Friday before heading up to the 17th-floor apartment.
Cops said a large group left the building around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, leaving Aguilera and three other females in the apartment together. Aguilera had lost her phone that night and borrowed a friend’s to call her boyfriend.
