MONTGOMERY, N.Y. — Wallkill High’s girls basketball team dropped its season opener to Middletown 44-29 in the first round of the Corrine Feller Memorial Tournament at Valley Central on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Emma Randolph led Wallkill with nine points, while Gabby Gualtiere added eight. Aoife Brady chipped in with six points for the Panthers.
Middletown was led by Jayden Ferguson’s game-high 12 points.
Wallkill faces Burke Catholic in the consolation round of the tournament at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5. Middletown will face host Valley Central in the title game at 7 p.m.
