Two Chinese nationals found working illegally in the Midlands are facing deportation as part of a crackdown on delivery drivers.

The pair were held after immigration officers went to The Jade Wok in Solihull as part of nationwide raids.

A total of 171 riders were arrested across the country in the space of a week last month, with 60 set to be removed from the UK.

A Government minister last week held talks with delivery firms Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats focusing on illegal workers using the platforms.

Border Security Minister Alex Norris said: "These results should send a clear message: if you are working illegally in this country, you will be arrested and removed.
