JOHNSON COUNTY, Texas — A judge didn't issue a decision Thursday in a civil case on whether or not a North Texas sheriff accused of sexually harassing employees and abusing his office can remain in his position.
Johnson County Sheriff Adam King was charged in August with two counts of retaliation against a witness and one count of abuse of office related to sexual harassment. King, who's in his third term as Johnson County Sheriff, was indicted in October on a fourth charge of aggravated perjury . During a hearing in October, King pleaded not guilty to the charges. A trial for the criminal charges is still set for next year.
