The National Weather Service released a snow squall warning at 4:35 p.m. on Thursday in effect until 5 p.m. for Delaware and Otsego counties.

"At 4:35 p.m., a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from near Summit to near Morris, moving south at 20 mph," says the weather service. "Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous within minutes."

Locations impacted by the warning include Oneonta, Davenport, Worcester, Maryland, West End, Elk Creek, Colliersville, East Meredith, Schenevus and Cooperstown Junction.
