Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter will miss Monday’s game against the Chargers and is week to week after undergoing surgery on both shoulders Monday, according to ESPN.

Carter, who has dealt with shoulder issues for much of the season, is receiving treatment on both shoulders, as he wanted to be as close to 100 percent as possible for the playoffs.

The 24-year-old Pro Bowl tackle took responsibility for not playing up to his potential in Philadelphia’s 24-15 loss to the Bears on Black Friday .
