MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Do you ever feel like you’re being watched?
Well, there’s something called a Flock camera that is a non-stop surveillance system out on our roads.
Those cameras are all across the nation!
This raises some security concerns, and one Marshall County commissioner is speaking out about it.
Some of these Flock cameras are hidden in plain sight!
They’re often camouflaged into street poles or attached right to the solar panel that powers it.
Flock cameras continuously record the roads and store data on our cars.
Even if you’re not breaking the law!
So, what is a Flock camera?
It’s an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPRs).
But it stores more than license plate numbers, makes, models, car colors and even bumper stickers!
