MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - A Marshall County commissioner is renewing efforts to ban Flock cameras, automated surveillance systems that continuously record vehicles on public roads.
Jesse Bohannon said he originally voted against the security system years ago before the cameras were installed. He is now pushing for commissioners to review and vote on banning the cameras again.
“One of the things that’s brought this to our attention is that there was a court ruling in the state of Oregon where someone had requested a public records request of a locality to get access to the data and photos that they had been collecting on the flock system,” Bohannon said.
