Officers arrested a woman who they say stabbed a man during a domestic dispute near Hancock Park on Thursday

At approximately 9:20 a.m. Thursday, a witness reported hearing shouting from “someone possibly needing assistance at a home near Hancock Park,” the Chico Police Department said in a news release.

Officers responded while the disturbance was still going on and located the residents of the home where the alleged dispute was happening, which included a man with a stab wound, as well as a woman. After searching the house and evaluating the evidence, officers arrested the woman on suspicion of:

• Assault with a deadly weapon.

• Inflict corporal injury on a spouse.

The man was transported to the hospital to be treated, and is expected to make a full recovery.
