LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man suspected of stabbing himself in the neck during a disturbance in central Lincoln Thursday is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Lincoln Police were called to an apartment building in the area of South 26th and M streets shortly after 12:30 p.m. for a reported disturbance involving two men.

Three members of the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force were in the area and assisted LPD at the scene.

As officers and deputies approached the apartment, LPD said a man threatened self-harm while his infant was inside.

Authorities went into the home and found the man with an apparent stab wound to his neck, LPD said. Police are still working to determine when the stabbing happened. He was taken to the hospital, where he remains with life-threatening injuries.
