GREENSBORO, N.C. — After K&W suddenly closed all of its remaining cafeterias on Monday, many longtime fans are clamoring for recipes of their favorite dishes.

Some former K&W employees are posting recipes while others are sharing copycat recipes. The WFMY News 2 team tasted the chain's famous baked spaghetti live on air and tried to guess the secret ingredients. Here's a link to some recipes.

Many fans want to know if the bona fide recipes from the founding K&W family will be shared.

WFMY News contacted Dax Allred, the former president of K&W Cafeteria and the grandson of the chain's founder, Grady Allred Sr. K&W was founded in Winston-Salem in 1937.
