For the third consecutive day, the country’s largest airline, IndiGo, has been struggling to maintain its flight schedule due to a sudden shortage of crew members.

This crisis has emerged after the implementation of new safety regulations in the aviation sector, which has directly affected the working hours and rest schedules of pilots and cabin crew.

The disruption has impacted passengers across India, as flight cancellations continued at major airports.

According to news agencies, more than 550 IndiGo flights were cancelled on Thursday alone across more than ten airports.

At Delhi Airport, 172 flights could not operate, which is the highest among all. Mumbai recorded 118 cancellations, Bengaluru 100, Hyderabad 75, Kolkata 35, Chennai 26, Goa 11, Jaipur 4 and Indore 3.
