This summer’s Brockville Tall Ships Festival broke attendance and revenue records for the local event, city councillors heard this week.
The June event drew an estimated 41,500 visits, and also brought in $308,625.50 in online ticket sales and $82,521.68 at the gate, organizers said.

“I think it’s safe to say that the festival was a success by every metric,” Jeremy Newman, chairman of the festival’s organizing committee, told council’s general committee on Tuesday.
“I think we can be very proud of the record visits and record revenue.”
