ADA COUNTY, Idaho — The West Ada School District is weighing a major upgrade to its campus security plan, one that could bring Centegix's wearable emergency badges to all staff members, along with a new undercover-style security presence inside schools.
Michelle Edmonds, the district’s Chief Communications Officer, said the proposal is the result of a two-year review aimed at strengthening safety across 60 school sites.
“We are proposing an enhanced campus safety plan, and it has two parts,” Edmonds said. “First, we would like to be able to give all of our staff members wearable alert technology, basically high-tech emergency badges. And the second part is to introduce what we are calling campus sentinels.”
