A "severely anemic" dog named Sprout was recently discovered by Massachusetts police during a routine traffic stop.
The West Bridgewater Police Department in West Bridgewater, Mass., discovered the small mixed-breed dog in the backseat of a car they stopped for speeding on Nov. 24, shelter manager Katie Anderson told Boston 25 News . The WBPD officer followed the owners to Westbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital, where Sprout was treated. She was later brought to the Animal Protection Center of Southeast
