Two men have been charged with shooting and killing two people outside a convenience store in Bordentown Township last month in what officials described as a targeted attack.
Justford Doe, 23, of Philadelphia, and Giovanni Varanese, 21, of Cherry Hill were already in custody at a Philadelphia jail on unrelated charges when they were charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and robbery, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday.
Both men also face weapons and eluding charges.
Investigators allege the two are responsible for killing Daniel Patterson, 22, of Philadelphia and Mason Knott, 21, of Wrightstown on Nov. 5 at the 7-Eleven/Valero gas station on the corner of Route 130 north and Farnsworth Avenue.
Prosecutors said the attack was targeted, not random.
