The DNA of a former corrections officer at the Atlantic County jail charged with sexually assaulting an inmate was found on the woman, according to a court document.
Sebastian Flores-Huamani was seen on a security camera at 9:45 p.m. conducting a watch tour in the area of her cell and then is off camera for about 13 minutes, an affidavit of probable cause says.
The woman was lying on her mattress when she said Flores-Huamani walked into her cell saying he had soap for her, she told authorities. When the inmate told Flores-Huamani she didn’t ask for any, he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
A witness not named by investigators told officials that he saw Flores-Huamani enter the cell and was “out of view” for 10 minutes.
