The Santa Maria High School Marching Saints, who recently performed in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade during their educational and performance tour from Nov. 24-28 have returned home.

Seventy student performers ranging from freshmen to seniors, along with 15 chaperones traveled from California to Illinois for the once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“This was an incredible honor for our band,” said Samantha Bunten, director of the Marching Saints. “Our students worked tirelessly, and representing Santa Maria High School on a national stage was a testament to their passion, dedication, and musical growth. To be able to share this opportunity with them will be a great memory to look back on for many years.”
