Residents packed the Lompoc City Council chambers Tuesday to denounce what they called a crisis of integrity at City Hall, lashing out at Councilmember Steve Bridge over the eight felony charges he's facing tied to alleged misuse of city funds.

They also criticized Mayor Jim Mosby over a viral video showing him berating Latino street vendors.

During public comment, nearly a dozen residents said they felt “embarrassed” and “exhausted” by the headlines, warning that the controversies are damaging Lompoc’s reputation. Several urged Bridge to step down or take a leave of absence while under indictment, and criticized Mosby’s video confrontation as unprofessional.
