New Delhi, Dec 05: In a significant move, the National e-Governance Division has announced the availability of Passport Verification Records (PVR) on the DigiLocker platform, enhancing citizen services.

In collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, this initiative under the Digital India program allows secure issuance, storage, sharing, and verification of digital documents. Citizens can access their PVRs through the DigiLocker web portal or mobile app, promoting a paperless and efficient service.

The digital PVRs, issued directly by government systems, ensure authenticity and streamline verification processes in travel, employment, and compliance. This integration modernizes citizen services, supports user-friendly access, and bolsters trust in governmental processes.
