OMAHA, Nebraska (KCRG) - Northern Iowa is heading the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers took down Utah, 3-2 on Thursday afternoon.
UNI found themselves trailing 2-0, then proceeded to win three sets in a row to claim a victory.
The most pivotal set was the third. On the brink of elimination, Lily Dykstra had eight kills, as the Panthers won on a bonus ball, 26-24.
From there on, it was all Panthers, taking the fourth set, and the fifth set, 15-10.
Up next, UNI will face No. 3 Creighton at their home gym on Friday at 6:30 pm.
