The holiday season has come to the local performing arts community, with upcoming shows sure to spread cheer.
From annual classics like the Philharmonic’s “Holiday Pops” performances and Fort Wayne Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” to newer productions, Christopher J. Murphy says theater and the holidays make a perfect pairing.
“If Christmas is about spending time with your family, then (holiday theater) is the best because it’s getting together every day for months with your theater family and creating something special together that you are then going to get to give as a gift to all of those audience members as they walk through the door,” Fort Wayne Youtheatre’s artistic director says.
